Outline Planning Application with all matters reserved except access for residential development of up to 104 dwellings, the partial demolition of the existing stadium and the development of a replacement speedway track and associated facilities and infrastructure.

Neighbourhood Plan
The Parish Council has agreed to review the Neighbourhood Plan to bring it up to date with changes in National Planning Policies and in recognition that Rugby Borough Council's Local Plan is also being reviewed with an Examination commencing this November.
An important part of the process of reviewing our Neighbourhood Plan, is a survey of all residents in the Parish alongside a survey of local businesses. In 2019, feedback from the surveys that were carried out at the time, was important in framing the policies that were inserted into the document so that it reflected the views of the local community, in as far as this is allowed by regulations governing the process.
Your views are important to us so please make time to complete the survey either online by clicking here for residents, or here for businesses. Alternatively, you can complete the paper survey forms which can be returned to Brandon Club or to the Royal Oak.
UPDATE:
The deadline for completing our Village Plan Survey has been extended to Wednesday 30th September, as the original consultation period fell across the summer holidays.
To make it as easy as possible for everyone to have their say, Brandon & Bretford Parish Councillors will be at the Royal Oak on Sunday 27th September, 10am–12pm, with coffee, cake and a helping hand!
Come along, grab a cuppa and some cake, and we can help you complete the survey online there and then.
It doesn’t matter if you’re not particularly confident online, don’t have the link to hand, or simply haven’t quite got round to it yet - we’ll have everything there you need.
Brandon Stadium
Many people will be aware that an outline planning application has been submitted by Brandon Estates to redevelop the Stadium site for up to 104 dwellings and for the partial demolition of the existing stadium and the development of a replacement speedway track and associated facilities and infrastructure.

As a statutory consultee, the Parish Council has been invited to submit comments on the planning application and it will be an agenda item for our next Parish Council meeting on 7th September. Since the meeting is after the consultation date of 14th August, we have requested further time to submit our response in order that we can reflect responses relating to the Stadium site that are included in the survey of residents and businesses as part of the Neighbourhood plan review and any other feedback from the local community that we receive at the meeting or via emails to the Parish Council.
Village Clean Up Days
Our village clean up days take place on the first Saturday morning of each month from 10am - 12noon. Volunteers meet in the the Royal Oak car park ready to litter pick, clean overgrown areas and plant bulbs. Over the last six months we have planted over 2000 bulbs and restored our village war memorial.
We are always looking for new volunters and more information is regularly posted on the village facebook page. Come and help keep our village beautiful!
Brandon Stadium Update
In response to a letter sent on behalf of Brandon Estates in June requesting a meeting with the Parish Council, we invited representatives from the company to attend a public meeting in Brandon to answer questions from the Parish Council and from members of the public about the proposals that have been submitted to Rugby Borough Council to redevelop the Brandon Stadium site. That offer has just been declined with the lobbyists acting for Brandon Estates encouraging people to contact them directly with any comments or enquiries about the planning application.
The Parish Council is disappointed that Brandon Estates have refused to attend a public meeting especially as it was their suggestion in June to engage with the local community through a meeting with the Parish Council. At our next meeting on 7th September at Brandon Club, (7.00pm) the planning application will be discussed in order that councillors can decide the response they wish to make before it is submitted to Rugby Borough Council. Representatives from Save Coventry Speedway have asked to attend the meeting and any member of the public wishing to attend will be welcomed, though we'd ask if anyone choosing to do so would contact the clerk before the 7th September so we can understand the likely numbers of people planning to attend.
